Production activity is the recording of activity
against a work order which allows for the tracking of material
and labor. This also results in the adjustment of inventory
quantities for material issues and the corresponding journal
entry in the accounting side. Production activity, material
adjustments to inventory, and the resulting journal entries are
performed in real time as transactions are reported.
Small Business Manufacturing®
allows production activity to be reported via Production
Activity as well as Employee Activity. Production Activity
provides a work order focused interface to record this activity.
Employee Activity on the other hand, provides a employee
timesheet focused interface to report labor activity and
material issues.
