Small Business Manufacturing's Cost estimating
functionality gives you the flexibility to price out up to three
quantities for each item. Each item allows you to include
material, labor, and overhead that maybe required in its
manufacturing.
As
you build the cost estimate, you have the flexibility to copy
from another estimate/template. Material and labor that maybe
required can be brought in from other items similar to the one
being estimated. A summary screen allows the material, labor,
and overhead estimated to be easily viewed. Additional markups
can then be added to material, labor, overhead, or to the entire
estimate. These markups can be defined as percent of costs or as
flat amounts. Export this to Excel for further analysis.
Once the Cost Estimate meets your approval, a
formal document can be either printer or emailed to the
customer. On the customer’s approval, this cost estimate can
then be converted into a Sales Order, Quote, or a manufacturing
Work Order with a click of a button.
